Our mission is to satisfy the scientific, academic, and union needs of physiatrists in Colombia. Thus, we carry out continuous medical education, publications, research, and union representation. Through these 58 years of trajectory of our union, the history of physical and rehabilitation medicine in Colombia and its advances are evident.

The International Society for Physical Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM) acts as the global agency for Physical Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM). As a non-governmental organization attached to the World Health Organization (WHO), as an international coordinating organization for PRM physicians, and as a catalyst for international PRM research; ISPRM is a caring, professional, and scientific mandate society.

Therefore, ISPRM aims to “continually improve the practice of PRM and facilitate its entry into international health organizations intended to contribute to the optimal functioning and quality of life of disabled people.”
